In today\u2019s fast-paced world\u2014where the market is overflowing with products and services and consumer needs are constantly shifting\u2014it\u2019s more important than ever for brands to offer creative and socially meaningful solutions. A great example of this? Photovoltaic systems. Imagine a structure that can convert sunlight into electricity. But it doesn\u2019t stop there\u2014it can drastically reduce energy costs for households and businesses while helping to protect the environment by lowering carbon emissions. Now that\u2019s what we call a modern, creative solution.<\/p>\n

At the end of 2023, just as we were getting ready to welcome the dawn of a new creative year, we were approached by a client who brought us a new challenge\u2014and a spark of inspiration.<\/p>\n

The client operated in the field of photovoltaic installations for energy production. They didn\u2019t have a name yet, nor a logo\u2014but they came to us with experience, strong motivation to stand out, and most importantly, a meaningful brand vision. Their mission was to \u201cbring light\u201d to their customers. Ours was to bring light to their brand.<\/p>\n

And so, once again\u2014driven by creative passion\u2014we, the Freaks, followed the spark of our wild ideas and dove into the project with full force.<\/p>\n

THE NAME<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first step in creating a brand from scratch is, of course, coming up with its name. For us as a creative agency, it’s crucial that the name is unique, creative, memorable, and most importantly, carries the deep brand idea. For the client, it was essential that we avoid the overused clich\u00e9s found in the market and stand out. So here’s how we chose: Nova Rise Group.“<\/span>Nova<\/span><\/strong>” <\/span>is <\/span>a <\/span>word <\/span>that <\/span>simultaneously <\/span>means <\/span>both <\/span>new <\/span>and <\/span>a <\/span>bright <\/span>star. <\/span>On <\/span>one <\/span>hand, <\/span>it <\/span>connects <\/span>to <\/span>the <\/span>idea <\/span>of <\/span>a <\/span>new <\/span>beginning <\/span>for <\/span>the <\/span>future\u2014<\/span>bright <\/span>and <\/span>dazzling, <\/span>which <\/span>the <\/span>solar <\/span>panels <\/span>create <\/span>with <\/span>the <\/span>development <\/span>of <\/span>clean <\/span>energy. <\/span>On <\/span>the <\/span>other <\/span>hand, <\/span>it\u2019s <\/span>associated <\/span>with <\/span>a <\/span>bright, <\/span>powerful <\/span>star\u2014<\/span>a <\/span>supernova. <\/span>So, <\/span>we <\/span>at <\/span>Freaks<\/span><\/strong> decided <\/span>that “<\/span>Nova” <\/span>holds <\/span>a <\/span>lot <\/span>of <\/span>symbolism <\/span>and <\/span>is <\/span>key <\/span>to <\/span>the <\/span>brand’s <\/span>concept. <\/span>On <\/span>the <\/span>other <\/span>hand, “<\/span>Rise” \u2014 <\/span>as <\/span>in <\/span>sunrise \u2014 <\/span>helped <\/span>us <\/span>achieve <\/span>the <\/span>combination “<\/span>Nova <\/span>Rise,” <\/span>communicating <\/span>the <\/span>new <\/span>dawn <\/span>that <\/span>businesses <\/span>and <\/span>households <\/span>will <\/span>experience, <\/span>choosing <\/span>this <\/span>new <\/span>way <\/span>of <\/span>life <\/span>and <\/span>receiving <\/span>light <\/span>through <\/span>solar <\/span>panels. <\/span>To <\/span>add <\/span>a <\/span>touch <\/span>of “<\/span>weight” <\/span>to <\/span>the <\/span>overall <\/span>creative <\/span>in <\/span>the <\/span>name, <\/span>and <\/span>to <\/span>reinforce <\/span>the <\/span>idea <\/span>that <\/span>professionals <\/span>stand <\/span>behind <\/span>the <\/span>brand, <\/span>we <\/span>added “<\/span>Group.” <\/span>And <\/span>so, <\/span>we <\/span>arrived <\/span>at <\/span>the <\/span>final <\/span>version \u2014 <\/span>Nova <\/span>Rise <\/span>Group<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>which, <\/span>in <\/span>its <\/span>shortened <\/span>form <\/span>NRG<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>had <\/span>a <\/span>playful <\/span>effect \u2014 <\/span>pronounced <\/span>like “<\/span>energy,” <\/span>which <\/span>is <\/span>exactly <\/span>the <\/span>idea <\/span>behind <\/span>the <\/span>brand.<\/span><\/p>\n

LOGO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once we had chosen the brand name, it was time for our favorite part \u2013 bringing it to life. Our inspiration came from the idea of clean and modern 3D forms that convey a sense of innovation and sustainability \u2013 characteristics closely tied to new technologies and the brand’s core idea.In the logo design, we illustrated the letter “G,” which is part of the brand name, and a power button symbol, representing the activation of electronic systems. This activation, of course, can only happen with energy\u2014energy that solar panels provide. We chose this indirect element to infuse creativity into the overall deep meaning of the brand. For the color scheme, we opted for orange and yellow, as these are the colors most commonly associated with the rising sun. The gray used for the brand name brings a sense of balance, stability, perfectionism, modernity, and elegance\u2014all qualities that are central to our client’s essence and values.<\/p>\n

SLOGAN<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

And <\/span>since <\/span>the <\/span>successful <\/span>completion <\/span>of <\/span>building <\/span>a <\/span>brand <\/span>requires <\/span>harmony <\/span>between <\/span>the <\/span>name, <\/span>logo, <\/span>and <\/span>message, <\/span>it <\/span>was <\/span>time <\/span>to <\/span>solidify <\/span>the <\/span>brand <\/span>idea <\/span>with <\/span>a <\/span>tagline <\/span>that <\/span>would <\/span>emphasize <\/span>the <\/span>depth <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>name <\/span>and <\/span>logo \u2013 <\/span>Charged <\/span>by <\/span>the <\/span>sun<\/span><\/strong>. <\/span>This <\/span>slogan <\/span>perfectly <\/span>captures <\/span>the <\/span>essence <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>brand, <\/span>linking <\/span>the <\/span>idea <\/span>of <\/span>energy <\/span>and <\/span>light <\/span>to <\/span>the <\/span>power <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>sun, <\/span>which <\/span>fuels <\/span>the <\/span>solar <\/span>panels <\/span>and <\/span>brings <\/span>the <\/span>brand\u2019s <\/span>promise <\/span>to <\/span>life. <\/span>It\u2019s <\/span>a <\/span>simple <\/span>yet <\/span>powerful <\/span>message <\/span>that <\/span>ties <\/span>together <\/span>the <\/span>brand\u2019s <\/span>identity <\/span>and <\/span>its <\/span>mission.<\/span><\/p>\n
