
MBR – the business that grows businesses. And how we built his vision.
Retail parks, malls, real estate… They are all so buzzing by 2023 that there is no point in going into in-depth analysis here. We will only make a few important, topical and key observations. In 2022, there was an extremely rapid growth of the retail park segment, and this pace has been maintained towards 2023. Not only that. This sector is constantly evolving, improving and upgrading.
When we follow the commercial real estate market in our country and see how fast it is growing, we cannot miss the most important reason – WHY. It is businesses like our new client’s, which we will introduce you to in this article, that are helping behind these successes. Little by little, we will reveal to you everything about our new project, which includes our most favorite part – creating and enforcing brand identity. But before we immerse you in our creative world, let’s first tell you a bit about our new client’s business.
MBR is a commercial real estate consulting firm based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It has extensive experience in the management of shopping centers and malls of various sizes and in all phases of the project life cycle – planning, construction and management. MBR helps retail parks and malls by offering services such as project planning, leasing and tenant coordination, pre-opening preparation and facilities management. And that’s enough to know how important our client is to other businesses.
Now it’s time to immerse you in the creative part of the project, namely ours.
Our task was to give a modern, fresh spirit to a B2B brand, which until now had no ‘face’, but had already contributed so much to the development of many retail parks and malls in Bulgaria, that is – it was time to SHOW it. We wanted to create a creative corporate vision that would give the feeling of stability and security that the MBR brand was. As we said, the company needed a logo, a slogan, an identity, a website and a social media presence, and so little by little we began to build the face of the brand, starting with the logo.
LOGO
Taking MBR‘s extensive experience in shopping centre management into account, we were inspired to create the logo from the spaces that shopping centre occupiers are looking for – vast and large. A simplified bird’s eye view model of a retail park was used as a key element in creating the logo. Seen from a different angle, the logomark looks like a line from a graphic, symbolizing growth and upward development, which in turn communicates the words from a slogan we’ll share a little later.
The Slogan
It’s time to share a bit about the slogan as well. Since MBR stands for Multi Brand Retail, we wanted the slogan to reflect the brand’s key USPs and what it does best. That’s how we arrived at: Advise. Develop. Manage. The words are arranged to mirror both the brand’s core activities and the natural order of the alphabet. In this way, we also aimed to convey a sense of structure and precision—values that are central to the brand’s identity.
Brand Identity
We unified the brand under a cohesive visual style, inspired by the shapes found in the logo itself. The overall look and feel is built around brand colors, with headlines in the visuals and logo framed by simple geometric forms that maintain clarity and support strong corporate communication.
Alongside the development of the brand identity, we also designed a set of corporate materials – business cards, a presentation folder, and an envelope – all aligned with the visual direction.
We also created the full design of the corporate catalog.
Our next step was to build a corporate image website that would be as intuitive and user-friendly as possible—informative, and of course, visually refined.
And just like that, we successfully brought to life the brand identity of yet another name in our portfolio.
